Meet the Tutors
We hope to meet you as well!
Grace has always been deeply connected to education and the arts. After graduating from Piner High School, she pursued various artistic and creative endeavors before returning to school — a place that had long been a sanctuary for her.
In college, she discovered a passion for mathematics. What first seemed abstract and challenging soon became a source of structure and stability in an otherwise chaotic world. She also found profound joy in helping others learn; working as a tutor and instructional aide for years while she completed five Associate Degrees at the Santa Rosa Junior College.
She later transferred to UC Berkeley, where she earned her B.A. in Mathematics while continuing to work as a private tutor. This rigorous academic journey strengthened both her problem-solving skills and her ability to explain difficult concepts with patience and clarity.
Today, Grace combines her artistic creativity with her analytical training to make mathematics approachable and engaging. For over nine years, she has been helping students of all backgrounds build confidence, develop stronger problem-solving skills, and discover the joy that can be found in learning.
Aaron Russell is a dedicated tutor with a strong academic background in both Physics and Mathematics. He graduated from Sonoma State University with distinction, earning dual degrees in Physics and Mathematics while maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA. His academic journey was shaped by a genuine fascination with physics and mathematics, as well as the challenges he overcame while mastering these subjects himself.
Because he knows what it feels like to struggle through difficult material, Aaron brings empathy and patience to every tutoring session. He specializes in breaking down complex concepts into clear, approachable steps, helping students build both confidence and understanding.
When he isn’t teaching, Aaron enjoys exploring nature with his fiancée, whether it’s taking scenic drives, hiking, or simply spending time outdoors.
Aaron’s combination of academic excellence, personal perseverance, and a passion for teaching makes him a supportive mentor for students seeking to strengthen their skills in math and physics.
